Born on 2nd Aug to Lt. Smt. Ratan Kanwar and Rtn Shivraj Singh Gaur, in the nuclear town of Rawatbhata , started her early education in the Steel City of Jamshedpur situated in present day Jharkhand where her father was employed with TELCO . Her childhood passion for sports and BasketBall helped her win many District and State tournaments . She is proud of the fact that her Sports Teacher was Ms Steffi Sequera , an Indian Hockey Olympian , from whom she learnt the toughest life lessons . They shifted to Kota in the year 1981 and she completed her high School from Sophia School Kota with a State Rank . Her passion for Basketball got her selected for the national level BasketBall tournament in the year 1986. She was also the first Elected Head Girl in the final year of School . Nisha Shekhawat completed her graduation from Sophia College Ajmer , knowing little that this city would be her future . After marriage she shifted to Ajmer, completed her MSc, Med & Doctorate in Emotional Intelligence and joined her husband , in his entrepreneurial journey of establishing Aryan Educational Society , which after 28 years, now, is a leading group in Ajmer with Aryan College, Aryan Public School, Jack & Jill Pre School, Jaju Nursing & Jaju ITI . Her Rotary Journey started from 1981 when her father joined Rotary Club Kota and she was a young annet . She became the chartered Secretary of the first all girls Rotaract Club Veerangna and later the President in the year 92 & 93 .She owes her love for Rotary for the quality and quantity of Rotary that she imbibed during these years . After marriage , having shifted to Ajmer in 1996 , she joined Rotary Club Ajmer in Oct, 2007. Having held various positions , Sec - 2016/17, Pres- 2017/18, Assistant Governor- 2018/19 and many District Secretary & Chairman posts for Rotaract , Youth, Membership & Literacy. She helped organize 3 major Annual Fundraising Cultural events , motivating a collection of about Rs 50 lakh for her home club , Rotary Club Ajmer . She has also contributed to creating green pastures from time to time , independently nurtured 1700 plants on a 2km divider during the difficult times of Covid , She helped her club donate PPE kits worth Rs 13 lakhs to Janana Hospital through a Global Grant in association with Rotary Club Bikaner , and Rotary Club Denver, apart from initiating several Wash In School projects in Govt Schools of Ajmer. She has won many awards namely Prominent Educators Award- Rajasthan , Social Service Award by Collector Ajmer , Best Sec / Pres, Outstanding Assistant Governor and many more . She helped her club win the highest awards during her Assistant Governorship in 18 -19. She is also a prominent Youth member with the Ajmer Smart City Forum. Her biggest strength have been her Parents and her ever supporting life partner Rtn Amarpal S Shekhawat ,who is an accomplished educator . She believes life’s greatest stories come from people around you . She is blessed with 2 children , Moomal aged 25 , a graphic & textile designer working in Delhi and Suryansh ,aged 20, a student of Bachelor of Engineering at the University of Sydney . As District Governor of 25-26 she looks forward to serving and touching many lives.
